Whereas the sisters of charity in Sri Lanka have established themselves as a congregation for the propagation of religion by establishing and maintaining catholic schools and other schools assisted or maintained by the state and engaged in educational and vocational training in several parts of Sri Lanka and in establishing and maintaining orphanages and homes for children and for the aged.
